Bread Ka Halwa Recipe

Bread ka Halwa is very quick and delicious recipe. It can be prepared in no time. This recipe is contributed by my lovely friend Sonam. Lets see how to make this lovely dessert.

Bread Ka Halwa


  • White bread slices: 8
  • Ghee : 1 tbsp+ for deep frying
  • Sugar: 5 tbsp
  • Dry fruits: any of your choice
  • Cashew nuts powder: 2 tbsp
  • Green Cardamom powder: 1/4 tsp
  • Milk: 1 cup

Method/ How to make bread ka Halwa:

  • Heat sufficient ghee in kadhai for deep frying.
  • Trip the edges of bread slices and discard.
  • Cut bread slices them into small pieces.
  • Deep fry bread slices in ghee till they turn golden brown.
  • Take them out on a tissue paper.
  • Take 1 tbsp ghee in kadhai. 
  • Add dry fruits and saute on low flame til they turn golden brown.
  • Add sugar and 1.5 cups of water.
  • Green cardamom powder, cashew nuts powder .
  • Add 1 cup Milk into it.
  • Once it comes to a boil.
  • Add fried bread pieces and cook until bread absorb the milk and turns dry.
  • Garnish with chopped nuts.
  • Serve hot and enjoy bread ka halwa.
